Equipment

  • Oven
  • Parchment Paper

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter room temperature
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 2/3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 3/4 cups walnuts diced

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F. Then, in a medium bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and lemon juice, and mix until light and fluffy. Slowly add the flour, oats, baking soda, kosher salt, and ground cinnamon, and mix well for another 3-5 minutes. Slowly fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts, and mix well.
  • Slowly drop on a baking sheet with parchment paper, about 2-3 tablespoons. Set into the preheated 300 degrees F, and cook for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool, before serving
